Part 2: Parent-Teacher Classroom Meeting
While students go to the playground to enjoy a popsicle and supervised play, parents will stay in the classroom to learn more about the year’s curriculum and classroom routines!
SPIRIT WEAR ON SALE DURING WALKTHROUGH! Don’t forget… Bring $10 so your student can get Indian Run School Spirit Wear! Many sizes available; however, first come, first served! Stop in the Commons to grab one! Cash only sales.
On Friday, Indian Run will have our annual Harvest Day celebration. If you are new to Indian Run, this is a fun time for students to dress up and celebrate the fall season!
If your child would like to dress up, he or she is welcome to do so. However, students should NOT wear costumes to school on Friday morning, but rather bring them to school in a bag/backpack. Students will have time to put on costumes prior to the costume parade in the afternoon. Please keep in mind costumes should be school appropriate, nothing too scary, and easy to put on. If students do not want to dress up, that’s fine too — costumes are not required. After the parade, students will head back to classroom for their Harvest Party.
Our school costume parade will begin at 2:10pm. Parents are welcome to attend the parade and gather in the gym at 2:00pm. If you choose to come, you do not need to come to the office, but instead directly go into Door #2 and wait for us in the gym.
The classroom Harvest Parties will begin immediately after the parade (around 2:30pm). Parents that are volunteering for the parties will come in to the building at 2:00pm and go to the classrooms. Please, parent volunteers only at the parties. Parents who wish to see their child dressed up can do so in the gym during the parade. Thank you for your cooperation!
After the party, students will go home on the bus as usual. Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions.
While you are at IRE to visit your child’s classroom, please stop by the PTO table to say hello. We look forward to seeing you and answering any questions you may have.

Take a few minutes to make a DONATION of your time and/or resources to the PTO. We have SO MANY volunteer opportunities! Several events we need help with occur only once during the school year and require only a couple hours of your time to help.

FINAL PTO Meeting of the school year is tomorrow, Friday, May 6, at 10am in the IRE Commons. Please, please join us if you are able. We need our community’s help to fill important OPEN committee chair positions including: Beautification, Fair of Hearts (event), Ice Skating party, Restaurant Nights, Spirit Wear, and Supply Sale. Consider asking a friend to CO-CHAIR a committee with you! Hope to see you tomorrow!
Indian Run families and relatives join the fun and stop by Barnes & Noble on May 14. Fun for the whole family and any purchases benefit Indian Run! B&N will donate a percentage of sales (café and bookstore items) to the IRE PTO.

- Story time with Mr. Hoover at 9:30am, Mrs. Schwanke at 1:00pm, Mr. Crandall at 2:30pm, and Mrs. Christine at 4:30pm!
- Coloring Table for ALL ages, 12:00pm – 4:00pm. Color a picture to display in the B&N window.
